Starting right away, Klüh Catering is now in charge of culinary operations at the cross-border German-Luxembourgish Schengen Lyceum in Perl, Saarland. The catering division of the multi-service provider Klüh won the public tender thanks to its convincing fresh food concept.
“We are delighted to have secured the contract for the Schengen Lyceum – an educational institution unlike any other in Europe. Our shared commitment to quality and freshness paved the way for this contract. At the same time, we see this assignment as confirmation of our expertise in the field of modern school catering,” explains Thorsten Greth, Managing Director at Klüh Catering.
The scope of services includes the daily provision of snacks and lunch, as well as catering for school events, even outside regular school hours. Up to 400 guests are served freshly prepared meals every day. Convenience products are deliberately avoided: everything is cooked on site using fresh ingredients. A salad bar and dessert buffet round off the daily offerings.
A completely cashless payment system enables flexible and hassle-free catering: parents load credit onto a chip card via bank transfer, which can then be used at kiosks and in the canteen – no advance ordering required. In this way, the culinary offerings can be spontaneously integrated into the school day as required.
With its modern catering concept, Klüh meets the high standards of the Luxembourgish school authority and helps enrich the everyday school lives of the international students with delicious meals and snacks.
The German-Luxembourgish Schengen Lyceum is the only German-Luxembourgish school worldwide. It is situated in the tri-border region of Germany, Luxembourg and France and offers a cross-border education model that serves as a benchmark across Europe.
