Integrated Services

Aviation Safety Agency continues to rely on integrated services from Klüh

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), headquartered in Cologne, has renewed its trust in the comprehensive infrastructure services provided by Klüh. The decisive factor for the new contract award was an optimised concept for modern, sustainable building management.

Since 2016, the multi-service provider has been handling a wide range of cleaning services at the EU agency’s site, including maintenance, glass and special cleaning, conference services and infrastructural building management. Since 2021, Klüh has also been responsible for various security-related services, including reception services, mail processing, document destruction and property protection by means of regular patrols and advanced security technology.

Integrated services with digital added value

Klüh uses its digital management system EcoServ at the site to ensure efficiency, transparency and sustainability. Sensors, smart buttons, IoT frameworks and intelligent software solutions enable precise control of services in real time – for example, by measuring the fill levels of consumables or analysing usage frequencies in toilet areas. Modern technology also plays its part in the security services, for example in the form of a digital guard control system.

Strict standards in high-security environments

As a European agency with around 800 employees from a total of 31 member states – comprising the 27 EU countries plus Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland and Switzerland – EASA places special demands on discretion, security and service quality. All Klüh employees on site undergo appropriate security checks and training. The property also serves as a representative office for international partner institutions, which requires high standards of cleanliness, appearance and flexibility.

“With Klüh, we have a partner at our side that reliably meets our high standards in the areas of security, service, and sustainability. We particularly value the company’s innovative strength and the seamless cooperation based on mutual respect,” explains Steffen Pohl, Real Estate and Facility Manager at EASA.

Quality built on cooperation and trust
The close coordination between the Klüh team on site and EASA ensures consistently high standards. Regular checks and performance audits ensure the service quality. In addition, a daily cleaning concept was implemented at an early stage at the request of EASA. The associated requirements – such as discreet working during ongoing operations – were met by low-noise technology, staggered cleaning schedules and a high degree of sensitivity.

Ecological aspects have always played an important role at EASA: the use of environmentally friendly cleaning agents and a resource-saving approach to consumables are an integral part of our service.
The agency focuses on continuity in the ongoing cooperation: “Klüh builds trust by maintaining a consistent team. Our workforce comes from 31 countries, so working together requires a high level of intercultural competence. The Klüh team has integrated very well into this international environment,” summarises Pohl.
