Klüh promotes sustainable growth through digital expertise

In 2024, the multiservice provider Klüh passed the €1 billion revenue mark for the second year running, increasing its total revenue by 4.5% compared to the previous year. All the business divisions in Germany and abroad contributed to this result.

The largest share of revenue was generated by the service divisions Cleaning (35.2%) and Security (20.4%), followed by Catering (17.9%), Clinic Service (17.5%), Personnel Service (5.9%) and Integrated Services (3.1%). The international business grew particularly strongly: with sales of €322.6 million, it accounted for 30.2% of the Klüh Group’s total sales.

Frank Theobald, CEO of the Klüh Group: “The past year has shown that we are continuing to consistently fulfil our role as a future-oriented provider of high-quality services. Our commitment to actively shaping innovation is reflected both in the ongoing digitalisation of our processes and in our clear focus on sustainable business practices – both within our own company and in the solutions we provide for our customers.

Sustainable corporate management

One highlight of the past year was Klüh’s successful certification by the ZNU (Centre for Sustainable Corporate Leadership), which certifies the group’s responsible practices in the areas of corporate management, ecology, economy and social issues. An innovative contribution that encompasses all these areas equally and thus played a particular role in last year’s business success is EcoServ. The smart, modular cleaning service means that cleaning tasks can be individually and flexibly tailored to the utilisation of a property, thereby saving resources and CO2 and improving the working conditions of the cleaning staff.

Also in the area of security, Klüh consistently embraces technological innovations so as to further improve the quality of its services, provide targeted support for its employees and enhance the value of their work. A central element of this strategy is the alarm and emergency service centre, which was set up in 2024 and is scheduled to go into operation in 2025. It enables security-related processes to be controlled even more efficiently and will coordinate both security services and technical services digitally around the clock in future.

In order to develop further best practice solutions for building-related services in an inspiring environment, since 2024 Klüh has had a branch on the EUREF-Campus in Düsseldorf – a future hub for companies, start-ups and research institutions working in the fields of energy, sustainability and mobility. At the same time, the group presents itself to a wide audience there, showing its entire portfolio of innovative service solutions for modern, sustainable building management in a changing world of work.

Internationally, the Klüh Group celebrated the 40th anniversary of its subsidiary Berkeley Services, which operates in the United Arab Emirates. The company is a leading provider of building-related services in the region and, with more than 9,000 employees, is one of the largest employers.

Responsibility as an employer

As an employer, in 2024 Klüh continued to focus on development opportunities for employees, recruitment measures and occupational health and safety. With its employer branding campaign “I won’t work for everyone”, the company focused attention on the valuable work of its employees and emphasised its own commitment as a supportive employer.

Klüh has also taken a new approach to recruiting: new digital processes in applicant management speed up procedures, improve communication and increase transparency – an important step when it comes to meeting the challenges of the changing labour market.

Klüh has received several awards for its quality as an employer: in addition to the “Top Company” seal from kununu (overall score of 4.3 out of 5 / 84% recommendation rate), the F.A.Z. Institute also recognised Klüh as the industry leader in facility management.

“For us as an employer, it is now more important than ever that we lead by example – by showing appreciation, offering development opportunities and implementing modern processes. Our aim is to create an environment where people not only work but also feel good and can develop in the long term”, says Christian Frank, CFO of the Klüh Group.
