Klüh Catering, a subsidiary of the Klüh Group, is among the winners of this year’s PEPP! Marketing Award 2025. At the gvpraxis trendtage in Mainz, the company was honoured for its “Küchenheld” further training concept. Presented by gvpraxis and CHEFS CULINAR, the award recognises creative concepts that sustainably and effectively showcase catering services – with a particular focus on inspiring guests, attracting skilled professionals and promoting healthy eating.
Klüh Catering successfully held its own against other strong contenders with its entry “I don’t train for just anyone. But for Klüh – because every kitchen assistant can be a hero.” Developed in collaboration with the Düsseldorf Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK Düsseldorf), the training programme enables employees over the age of 25 who, for example, have no formal qualifications or have previously only had on-the-job training, to progress step by step towards a recognised vocational qualification.
“Winning the PEPP! Marketing.Awards confirms that we are on the right track with our targeted support of people who are often overlooked on the job market. With the Küchenheld programme, we not only equip them with knowledge, but also open up genuine career prospects. It’s gratifying to see that our commitment to empowering people is now also receiving recognition throughout the sector,” explains Thorsten Greth, Managing Director of Klüh Catering.
The training programme is an integral part of the Klüh Group’s current employer branding campaign, which focuses on the valuable work of its employees under the slogan “I don’t work for just anyone” and the hashtag #SelbstbewusstSein (be confident). The campaign has already been honoured with the German Brand Award 2025 and is a prime example of the value and appreciation accorded to all those who work in the company.
The “Küchenheld” training concept is characterised by its high practical relevance and draws on expertise from various areas of catering, including Care and Business & Industry. The aim is to gradually prepare participants for a recognised IHK vocational qualification, thereby opening up new career prospects and long-term opportunities on the labour market.
