Klüh Cleaning has been awarded the gold medal by EcoVadis, an independent provider of sustainability ratings. With this certification, the subsidiary of the multinational service provider Klüh meets the requirements for sustainable corporate management and provides its customers, suppliers, partners and employees with reliable orientation through an established label.
Daniel Carnol, Managing Director of Klüh Cleaning: “The gold medal from EcoVadis is an important milestone for us. It not only confirms the effectiveness of our sustainability strategy, but also shows that we are among the top performers worldwide. At the same time, we see this award as an incentive to keep improving our processes and to consistently promote sustainability along the entire value chain.”
In the course of the assessment, EcoVadis analysed Klüh Cleaning’s sustainability management in the areas of environment, employment and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The company achieved above-average results in all four categories. The ratings in the areas of sustainable procurement (87/100 points) and environment (81/100 points) are particularly noteworthy. Here, Klüh Cleaning impressed with comprehensive guidelines, concrete measures and a high level of implementation.
Among other things, the company relies on a certified environmental management system, the use of renewable energies and the continuous reduction of emissions and resource consumption. At the same time, extensive measures in the areas of employment and human rights – from health and safety programmes and further training opportunities to measures promoting diversity and equal opportunities – foster a responsible corporate culture. Klüh Cleaning also pursues a consistently sustainable approach throughout its supply chain: binding CSR criteria, regular supplier assessments and audits, and the integration of environmental and social standards into procurement processes ensure that sustainability is systematically incorporated.
Furthermore, Klüh Cleaning convinces with particularly sustainable cleaning solutions across the entire value chain. This includes the use of water-saving cleaning devices, environmentally friendly cleaning chemicals and work clothes made of recycled material. Resource-saving processes individually tailored to the customer’s requirements, which are measurable, documentable and fully transparent at all times, help to reduce emissions and improve the customer’s environmental footprint. This is made possible by the digitally controlled cleaning concept EcoServ, which flexibly records additional requirements and enters them in real time into a dynamic runsheet that guides the cleaning staff through the premises by means of tablets. In addition, IoT technology, sensor systems and intelligent smart buttons optimise the cleaning processes.
