Klüh Security, one of the leading quality providers in Germany’s security sector, is celebrating 75 years of company history. Founded in 1950 as wsd Wach- und Sicherheitsdienst in Cham in the Upper Palatinate, the company was taken over by the Düsseldorf-based Klüh Group in 1991 and renamed Klüh Security ten years later. Since then, the company has developed into a modern security architect with a current headcount of over 4,000 employees at 21 locations throughout Germany.
With tailor-made concepts, qualified personnel and digital solutions, Klüh Security now offers a comprehensive portfolio of security services, also for customers with high security requirements, including the German Armed Forces, energy suppliers, banks, airports, seaports, healthcare facilities and companies in the high-tech industry. References include Düsseldorf Airport, the energy and electrical engineering manufacturer Siemens Energy, the legendary football club VfL Bochum 1848, the public transport company Rheinbahn, the automotive supplier Continental and many other well-known customers.

As in the entire group, Klüh also consistently relies on technological innovations in the Security division so as to further improve the quality of its services, systematically reduce the burden on employees and enhance their work. A central element of this strategy is the emergency call and service control centre and alarm receiving centre, which is set to open in 2025. This enables security-related processes to be controlled even more efficiently and will coordinate both security services and technical services digitally around the clock in future.
An official tribute to Klüh Security’s 75-year history was held on 22 May during the annual general meeting of the Federal Association of the Security Industry (BDSW) in Berlin. As a long-standing member, the company received an anniversary certificate, which was presented to Klüh Security’s Managing Director Dr. Marc Bieling by the BDSW President Gregor Lehnert. As an economic and employers’ association, the BDSW represents the interests of the security sector vis-à-vis policymakers, authorities and the business community.
